    Aveshka is looking for a SharePoint Architect/Development Lead to join an exciting program to support solution development for challenging problems. The successful candidate will be a proactive, forward-leaning self-starter able to work in a fast-paced organization spread across diverse technical areas. The successful candidate will bring a strong technical background with demonstrated technical aptitude in order to quickly understand technical concepts and communicate them in a way that can be understood by non-technical people. The SharePoint Architect/Developer will lead the development and maintenance of a variety of SharePoint applications and solutions for a Government customer. As the lead technical expert, the Architect/Developer will work with the 4-6 agile teams to engage with the product owner and develop a high-level design and architecture that meets their needs. In addition, the Architect/Developer will define and assist teams with developing custom workflows and functionality to automate and streamline business processes. He/she will work with the teams to develop a plan for migration of legacy content into the SharePoint system and into the cloud, and supervise the migration activity. The Architect/Developer will also work with teams to develop project sites for individual projects, as needed. The Architect/Developer will work closely with the teams, the Program Manager to ensure a high standard of technical excellence across all team activities, and make recommendations for the most effective application of technology to meet the customer’s needs. Someone with a passion for working in a customer support role, has attention to detail, able to multi-task, lead and supervise multiple teams, and can work with multiple project leads to understand and communicate program information will thrive in this environment.

    This role will be required to supervise the performance of 4-6 (5) person agile teams working within SharePoint and associated technologies.  The person in this role will be assisting teams on a daily basis to design and implement SharePoint solutions.

    Responsibilities

    • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 15 years of experience in software development
    • Requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience developing with SharePoint
    • Expert knowledge of SharePoint 2010 and 2013
    • Expert knowledge in programming languages and scripting to support SharePoint development
    • Experience designing and developing architectures for SharePoint systems
    • Experience designing and developing custom SharePoint workflows
    • Experience migrating legacy content to SharePoint
    • Experience in leading multiple SharePoint teams
    • Demonstrated ability to discuss technical concepts with non-technical customers and other stakeholders
    • Knowledge of third-party SharePoint tools
    • Experience in Agile methodologies highly desired

    Supervise and the Support 4-6 Agile Teams as They:
    • Support &  SharePoint teams in the design of custom applications built on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2013 Platform in an Agile environment
    • Design, develop, implement, and/or enhance web-enabled applications using  .NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, jQuery, HTML5, etc.
    • Support administration of multiple SharePoint farms in production environment and transform complex customer business requirements into effective, efficient, and maintainable enterprise-level solutions
    • Work with customers at all levels of technical ability by assisting them in the requirements elaboration, customization, and definition of SharePoint sites.
    • Provide SharePoint guidance and leadership by example on SharePoint best practices
    • Work with Business Process Analysts to design and develop solutions and workflows that meet business requirements
    • Customize off-the-shelf solutions to meet government customer needs and requirements
    • Work with Testers to transfer knowledge and ensure adequate test coverage
    • Analyze and resolve current Production application issues
    • Provide light-weight documentation as needed
    • Estimate level of effort to satisfy application requirements and forecast milestones and deadlines
    • Delegate development of user stories and/or features across team of developers to meet project deadlines
