    Aveshka is seeking a Management Analyst to provide operational support to the non-clinical network of the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), within the office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR).

    Our company provides professional staffing support to the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR). ASPR is a public health preparedness and emergency response organization in the Office of the Secretary at the United States Department of Health and Human Services. ASPR was created under the 2006 Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness Act (and reauthorized in the Pandemic and All Hazards Reauthorization Act of 2013) in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to lead the nation in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the adverse health effects of public health emergencies and disasters. The ASPR serves as the principal adviser to the HHS Secretary responsible for providing integrated policy coordination and strategic direction with respect to all matters related to public health, medical preparedness, and deployment of the federal response for public health emergencies and incidents. The ASPR heads a Staff Division in the Office of the Secretary, serving as the Secretary's principal advisor on issues related to bioterrorism, and leads a collaborative approach to the department's preparedness, response, and recovery portfolio. In addition to this policy responsibility, the office of the ASPR also has operational responsibilities both for the advanced research and development of MCMs, and for coordination of the federal public health and medical response to incidents. The office of the ASPR serves as the lead official responsible for all federal public health and medical response to public health emergencies and incidents covered by the National Response Framework and National Disaster Recovery Framework.

    The Management Analyst will support ASPR - BARDA. BARDA supports the transition of medical countermeasures such as vaccines, drugs, and diagnostics from research through advanced development towards consideration for approval by the FDA and inclusion into the Strategic National Stockpile. BARDA’s support includes funding, technical assistance and core services, ranging from a clinical research organization network to Centers for Innovation in Advanced Development and Manufacturing, and a fill-finish manufacturing network. The candidate taking on this role will provide operational and administrative support to the non-clinical network.

    This is an on-site position at the ASPR offices, located at 200 C St. SW, Washington, DC.

    Responsibilities

    The successful candidate selected for this role will support the following responsibilities in addition to other duties requested by their technical monitor:

     

    - Supports non-clinical network leadership by scheduling meetings and coordinating site visits with internal and external stakeholders

    - Provides operational support to the development of requests for proposals

    - Provide day to day operational support to a wide range of activities

    - Edit, update and provide development support to documents such as but not limited to: white papers, reports, staffing/hiring, management directives and policy

    Qualifications

    Required Education:

     

    Minium of a bachelors degree, masters degree preferred but not requilred for this role

     

    Required Experience:

     

    minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a professional setting

     

    Required Clearance:

     

    Ability to obtain a public trust clearance

     

    Desired Qualifications:

     

    - Ability to succeed in a fast paced, and at times, high pressure environment

    - Self starter capable of taking initiative

    - Versitle performer able to act quickly to an ever changing landscape.
