    Responsibilities

    • Under supervision, responsible for developing, maintaining, documenting and operating programs.
    • Designs and writes computer programs to handle a particular user’s need.
    • Prepares program specifications and system diagrams.
    • Develops machine coding logic flow charts. Encodes, tests, debugs and installs the operating programs and procedures in coordination with the computer operator and user needs.
    • Reviews test procedures and makes revisions and refinements to existing programs of an intermediate level of complexity.
    • Assists users with day-to-day problems by troubleshooting problems occurring in programs or databases.
    • Operates computer system to diagnose programs; troubleshoot and test systems.
    • Codes, tests and installs program repairs.
    • Prepares and maintains program documentation and production procedures for new programs. Maintains communication with users concerning program problems.
    • May work with Business Systems Analysts to obtain project specifications and discuss. designs.

    Qualifications

    Required Education:

    • Entry Level
      • Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 8 - 10 years of experience and or a Master's with 6 - 8 years of experience. At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
    • Junior
      • Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 10 - 12 years of experience or a Master's with 8 - 10 years of experience. At least 4 years in a supervisory capacity.
    • Mid
      • Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 12 - 15 years of experience or a Master's with 10 - 13 years of experience. At least 6 years in a management capacity.
    • Senior
      • Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 15+ years of experience or a Master's with 10+ years of experience. At least 8 years in a management capacity.

     Required Experience:

    • Entry Level
      • Supervises, coordinates, provides leadership to and reviews the work of assigned staff. Directly supervises individual contributors in technical positions and/or entry level professionals. Estimates staffing needs, assigns work, recommends candidates for employment, makes recommendations for termination, conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff and is responsible for the application of company policies.
    • Junior
      • Manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments. Often heads one or more sections or a small department. Plans, conducts and supervises assignments, generally involving larger and more important projects or multiple projects. Evaluates and determines changes in methods or procedures in assigned area of responsibility. Determines candidates for employment/termination, conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff and is responsible for the application of company policies.
    • Mid
      • Manages subordinate management and/or experienced professionals who exercise significant latitude and independence. Often heads one or more departments. Plans, conducts and supervises assignments, generally involving larger and more important projects or multiple projects. Evaluates and determines changes in methods or procedures in assigned area of responsibility. Determines candidates for employment/termination, conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff and is responsible for the application of company policies. 
    • Senior
