  • Overview

    Aveshka is seeking an Functional Analyst/Action Officer to support the DoD counterintelligence, security, and Insider Threat (InT) policy and oversight processes to ensure the intent and guidance of the Director, Counterintelligence & Security (CI&S) is met. Provide administrative management support to the Defense Security Enterprise Advisory Group (DSEAG), to include scheduling weekly small group and quarterly Senior Executive Service (SES) meetings; drafting and distributing the agenda and meeting minutes; consolidating and editing slides; maintains the DoD component roster tracking action items; and other support as required. Manage tasks assigned by the directorate to provide inputs to the Director’s weekly activity report (WAR).  Edit and consolidate the WAR for the Director CI&S review and follows-up to ensure the Director’s comments and questions are addressed promptly. Prepare and provide the bi-weekly functional slides for the leadership’s functional meeting with the DDI(I&S). Act as the lead action officer on the directorates human resource requirements to include: drafting detailee and joint duty assignment staff actions; awards; new personnel in-processing documents; tracking DCIPS actions; and tracking updates/changes to position descriptions. Track DoD policy updates/status for industry and the DSEAG. Track the directorate’s congressionally directed actions (CDAs) and GAO reports to ensure the coordination/reports are completed promptly. Act as scheduler support to the DDI(I&S) and the Director CI&S absent the primary schedulers. Attend meetings as required and prepare meeting summary reports.


    • Knowledge of the Department’s correspondence staffing procedures, the Defense Travel System, Time and Attendance system, and the OSD Correspondence Management System
    • Experience with handling classified correspondence, expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite tools, knowledge of government and best business practices, and experience in writing, editing, and managing executive correspondence
    • Capable of formatting and some editing of formal letters, memoranda, read ahead briefing/meeting packages, activity reports, senior leadership reports, and travel/training/personnel documents
    • Experience in tracking, monitoring and updating various OSD human resource documents such as position descriptions and appraisal requirements.3 years of experience on an OSD, JCS, or Military Department headquarters staff


    Required Education:


    • Bachelor’s degree from in an accredited university or four years of equivalent experience (includes military service, civilian DoD employment, and DoD contractor employment)


    Required Experience:


    • Three years of experience supporting/arranging meetings, conferences, and video-teleconferencing, to include taking minutes and maintaining invitation/attendee contact rosters to support senior executive service (SES) personnel.
    • Three years of experience managing organizational tasks and providing office management support


    Required Clearance:


    • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance
