    Summary:

     

    Aveshka is seeking an Operation Support Specialist to help provide support to the operational administration, infrastructure and management preparedness activities of the OPHPR.

    The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Office of Public Health Preparedness and Emergency Response (OPHPR) provides a variety of technical services in support of public health and emergency preparedness.  Their mission is to safeguard health and save lives by providing a flexible and robust platform for public health emergency response.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:  

    • Supporting organizations and response events by facilitating staffing, on-boarding personnel, assigning equipment, processing badge, account and email requests.
    • Coordinating response events by making travel arrangements, preparing travel itineraries, coordinating meetings and logistics, preparing travel orders and processing vouchers.
    • Provide administrative support in property management, conference room scheduling, training orders, timekeeping and processing time and attendance.
    • Solicit information and input, synthesize steps, design and develop standard, unique and supplemental administrative policies and procedures.
    • Coordinating, responding and addressing facilities issues, physical security requirements, telecommunications, office space needs, designs, and changes, procurement of equipment, furniture, services and overall facilities management.
    • Manage schedules, respond to inquiries, set up meetings, sensitively coordinate with senior leaders, address meeting AV requirements, meeting room accommodations, organize and facilitate schedules for a few or large numbers of people.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required, Advanced degree preferred
    • 5+ years of work experience related to the job description

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Familiarity working in remote office and/or multiple customer locations
    • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
    • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge of proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities
    • Highly resourceful team-player with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
    • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client servicer and response.
    • Ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
