Summary:

 

Aveshka is seeking a Contracts and Grants Management Specialist to help provide support to the operational administration, infrastructure and management preparedness activities of the OPHPR.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Office of Public Health Preparedness and Emergency Response (OPHPR) provides a variety of technical services in support of public health and emergency preparedness.  Their mission is to safeguard health and save lives by providing a flexible and robust platform for public health emergency response.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:  

  • Provide assistance in contracts or grants administration.
  • Assistance in identifying requirements for contracts, developing statements of work, identifying milestones and deliverables.
  • Establish technical evaluation panels, develop criteria for review, coordinate schedules and prepare information for panel members, synthesize findings and recommendations from reviewers, and submit overall recommendations following review.
  • Develop grants / cooperative agreement solicitation announcements, process grant applications, set up grant review panels, track panel scoring, coordinating issues to be addressed, synthesize grantee responses, coordinate and assist in final resolution relative to recommendation for grant award.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of work experience related to the job description

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity working in remote office and/or multiple customer locations
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities
  • Highly resourceful team-player with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client servicer and response.
  • Ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
